If you’re looking for something more outdoorsy, Pensacola Bay Area features beaches, pine forests, and creeks which would be the perfect place to pitch a tent.
Pensacola Beach
Santa Rosa Island contains the Pensacola Beach RV Resort, which includes 72 full-hookup sites, along with a clubhouse, picnic tables, restrooms, a swimming pool, free wi-fi, and laundry facilities.
If you’re looking for something a little more primitive, check out the tent and RV camping sites at the Gulf Islands National Seashore. The park has plenty of outdoor activities, including boating, swimming, fishing, snorkeling, biking, hiking, and scuba diving.
North Escambia County
North of Pensacola lies a quiet little campground called Lake Stone. The campground is centered around a large lake and can accommodate up to 70 RVs. Lake Stone has public restrooms and showers and also features a playground for kids.
